The company facilities will encompass a total area of 19,500m²
utilizing the latest in greenhouse technology and processing equipment
enabling the growth and production of premium medicinal cannabis.
The total land area allows for the installation of a solar park
and a CNG station to allow for lower costs
while contributing to the sustainability of the environment.
Cannabis, like any agricultural crop grown, requires the optimal balance of nutrients and soil pH. With hydroponics, nutrient uptake and the increase in oxygen content in the soil can be easily controlled.
Various soil insulations such as rockwool, coconut fiber and peat moss are used in hydroponics in order to aid in root growth and nutrient uptake. All the nutrients are supplied via the nutrient solution-fertilizer which is diluted in water.
Optimal daytime temperatures for the growth of medicinal cannabis are between 20°-30° Celsius.
With the majority of the average monthly temperatures in selected area ranging between 15°C – 30°C, the climate allows for the existence of ideal conditions for the cultivation of cannabis plants.
Water quality is an important and determining factor in hydroponic cultivation.
Water is the main “carrier” in hydroponics as it dissolves and then transports nutrients to plants.
However, the water must always have the same purity in order to avoid having any deviations in the soil quality thereby resulting in problems in the cultivation of the cannabis.
Controlled humidity in greenhouses is achieved with water sprays as well as dehumidifiers, which in combination with sensors, regulate the desired range of humidity.
It has been proven that the Greek climate offers significant advantages to the production of superior quality medicinal cannabis at a lower cost vs other locations.
Our facility is located in the state of Achaia, Greece, chosen for its ideal microclimate combining a large amount of solar radiation with high quality ground water.
Its proximity to Patra also provides the benefit of reduced shipping costs for both maritime (Patra’s port) and air transport (Araxos International Airport).
